5-Star Rated Riding Centre

Luccombe Riding Centre holds a 5-star rated licence by Dorset Council. 
This means that our standards of Horse welfare, health and safety practices and staff experience and qualifications have exceeded the standards required. 

Luccombe Riding Centre is also a Pony Club Centre, an EAQ-approved centre, and a Changing Lives through Horses Centre, and we are home to our local Milton Abbas RDA group.

Changing Lives Through Horses Programme

This programme aims to improve the lives of children and adults who are disengaged and are at risk of becoming excluded. 

Using Horses as the inspiration for change the programme provides an alternative learning to mainstream education. 

We are committed to ensuring the programme changes as many lives as possible

The skills developed through the programme meet the requirements of ongoing education and training,  employers and participants. 

We are working in partnership with local schools and organisations to provide an array of educational and career pathways to support continued development in an environment which celebrates positive change.

Own a Pony Days

Our own a pony days are extremely popular and amazing fun, suitable for all abilities from age 6.

The day starts at 10am to 3pm, and includes a lesson in our indoor arena and a hack, learning everything it takes to care for your pony.

The cost is £55

Farm Rides

Our farm rides are approximately 30 minutes, a fun and informative lead reign walk around the beautiful Luccombe Estate. 

These rides are suitable for riders aged 4 up to adults.

The cost is £25

Lessons

Something for everyone

We offer 30 minute lessons for all standards and ages of rider across a range of equestrian disciplines. 

Whether you have never ridden before or have more experience but would like to try something new, our experienced Horses and friendly coaches are here to help you.

We have a team of dedicated and enthusiastic teaching staff, all with slightly different teaching styles, so you are sure to find a lesson to suit your needs.

Hacks

We offer 1 hour countryside hacks for experienced riders only, all off-road in the beautiful setting of Milton Abbas woods.

Cost £35

Our ponies and team are experienced for children with disabilities who would enjoy riding.

We have 2 rising for the disabled groups which is run under the Milton Abbas RDA group.

Weight Limit

Please note that in the interest of animal welfare, our weight limit for horse riding is 12 stone (76kg).

Booking Cancellations

All bookings have a 48-hour cancellation policy, any cancellations within this period will need to be paid in full before your next ride.
